The 3D filament
With around forty years of experience in the field of technical monofilament extrusion, the 3D filament range was created in 2014 under the TAG in 3D brand.
These filaments have been specially designed to obtain the best compromise between performance and ease of printing. The know-how in the field of plastic extrusion makes it possible to work all types of materials. Driven by the world of 3D printing, the transformation of technical polymers and innovation, the research and development department has dedicated five production lines to the manufacture of innovative technical filaments as well as a twin screw allowing the production of different alloys of materials. Our ambition is to offer filaments with exceptional characteristics, while keeping a certain ease during printing.
In 2017, TAG Plasturgie filed a first patent on the manufacture of bi-material 3D filaments. This is in order to limit the abrasion of the filaments loaded with fibers, to limit the absorption of moisture from the filaments and to stiffen certain flexible filaments.
